Hilary Rupawalla

Hilary Rupawalla is an associate of the firm and an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.

Before joining August Law, Hilary worked at the Singapore office of an English law firm. She has also worked in some of Singapore’s leading commercial litigation and family law practices.

In the field of commercial litigation, Hilary has acted in various matters including contractual disputes, breach of director’s duties, striking out applications and insolvency matters such as judicial management and applications for examination of judgement debtor. Hilary also has experience drafting shareholder agreements, employment contracts and personal legal instruments such as wills, lasting powers of attorney and deed polls.

Hilary has considerable experience in the field of matrimonial law, particularly in cross-border and high net worth contentious and non-contentious divorces, including choice of jurisdiction and/or choice of forum, financial proceedings after an overseas divorce, drafting of multi-jurisdictional separation agreements, enforcement and variation of maintenance applications, the relocation of children across international borders and custody and care and control applications. She has substantial expertise in advocating for her clients in both court-led mediation and contested ancillary matters proceedings.
