Our Director, Nadia Moynihan, recently delivered a two day training course for property agents on property law in Singapore and, in particular, how it interacts with commercial leases / tenancy agreements. The training included common problems caused by poor tenancy agreement clause drafting and explored several hypothetical problem scenarios and proposed solutions for them. The main takeaway was that there is no substitute for a professionally drafted tenancy agreement, but that a litigation lawyer can often be useful in resolving tenancy disputes that cannot be otherwise avoided.
